Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information One Stop Fencing receives through this website, why we use it and the choices you have. It was last updated on 15 August 2026.
Who is responsible for your information?
One Stop Fencing is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us through the enquiry form or by calling 01204 578012.
What we collect
- Account details, such as your email address and the information needed to keep you signed in securely.
- Basket and order information, including products, quantities, payment status and Stripe references.
- Enquiry details, such as your name, company, email address, phone number, postcode, job requirements and any photographs you choose to send.
- Basic technical and security information, such as IP address, request details and essential cookie data.
Please do not include personal information in photographs or messages unless it is relevant to your enquiry.
Why we use it
We use personal information to:
- answer enquiries, prepare quotations and take steps you ask us to take before an order or installation contract;
- provide accounts, baskets, checkout and customer service;
- process and keep records of orders and payments;
- protect the website, prevent misuse and diagnose technical problems; and
- meet legal, tax and accounting obligations that apply to us.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in running and securing the service. We do not make decisions about you using solely automated decision-making.
Who receives it
We share only the information needed with suppliers that help us provide the service. These may include Stripe for checkout and payment processing, our email provider for enquiries, hosting and IT providers, and delivery or installation providers where they are needed for your order. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires it, an approved transfer mechanism or other appropriate safeguard must be used.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described above. The period depends on whether the information relates to an enquiry, an active account, an order, a legal or accounting record, or a security log. We then delete or anonymise it when it is no longer required, subject to backups and any legal record-keeping duties.
Cookies
This site uses first-party cookies that are needed for sign-in, security, your basket and shop preferences. The guest-basket cookie stores product identifiers and quantities, not your contact details. Stripe may set its own cookies when you move to its checkout service. The site does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to receive a portable copy. You can make a request through the enquiry form or by calling 01204 578012. We may need to confirm your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office through the ICO complaints service.
